Welcome on TSGLAB's World of Warcraft icons page. Here, you'll find a complete list of icons to use (for example) in your macros for World of Warcraft. The purpose of thoses icons is simple : among the hundreds that Blizzard's developpers made for their game, some of them don't quite represent (if not at all) the objects, abilities or spells that are bound to them. The purpose of this page is to share my humble creations so that anyone who feels the same problem can correct it too. Some icons are here in several copies with different colors. In World of Warcraft, there's 11 characters classes, which are all represented by a color : DeathKnight, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock et Warrior Personnally, I like to have icons with my character's class color in it, hence the variations. If you can't find what you're looking for in the list, you can use the comment system at the bottom of this page to explain what you're looking for, and I might be able to help! Have a nice visit! ---------------------- Donations : The button at the top of the page allows you to make a small donation of your choice. It motivates me to make new icons that I leave freely at your disposal. If you want me to make a custom icon only for you, a donation will be highly appreciated, but not mandatory. Icons comments : The second button is simply a shortcut to the bottom of the page. Leave comments there to say what you think of the proposed icons, and if you have ideas to suggest, go on. I'll see if I have time to spend in the matter! Note that donations can motivate me to make comissions. Unstable Affliction : Class silver rings : Everybody need a nice silver ring with his class color! Ok, well, maybe not, but it was worth the shot... Class golden rings : Everybody need a nice golden ring with his class color! Ok, well, maybe not, but it was worth the shot... Call to arms : Forsaken call to arms : For all I know, this icon doesn't exist in World of Warcraft and I came into the files of Warcraft 3 to get it. It's a derivation of Call to arms, but for undeads. I like that. Enslave : With these icons, I tried a coloration method different from what I usually do, and I really like it! Bear Attack : This icon was an ability that I've taken from the Druid of the Claw in Warcraft 3. Simple colors variations, and here you have a nice icon for a druid! Horde banners : I had noticed grunts by places which wore typical orcs pauldrons, but with different colors depending of the place (for example, blue in Hammer's fall, green somewhere else, etc). So next to that, I had fun modifying the Horde logo in different colors. Guild banner "Omega" : I took the time to make these by request for Namuto. There are guild banner icons with an Omega for logo. Enjoy! Banish : In Warcraft 3, the green version of this icon was used for the spell Banish of the Blood mage (as wall as Kael'thas). Staff of Negation recolored : In Warcraft 3, there was an item that was used to suppress magic effects in the targeted area. Il was called the staff of negation. I got it back and made different versions! Silver belt buckle : Normally, it's an achievement icon rewarding the player who get to level 40. I took away the number 40 and wrote "RP" instead. "RP" is for Roleplay. I used it at first for my project "Legends of Arajiel", and now I have variations for every class. I think it would perfectly fit with an addon like TotalRP2. Branch : This icon was an item in Warcraft 3. I've added a glow and some colors variations, and here it is! Mana burn : I think some mages could appreciate to have a mana burn icon that could also be used as a spellsteal or a counterspell. Book-burning : These icons were realised to represent a roleplaying event in which we'll set books in fire. While I was at it, I made color variations to the flames, between felfire, frostfire, shadowflame, holy flame, twilight fire... Aura cloak : I really enjoy this Warcraft 3 icon representing the Cloak of Flames, which gave the permanent bonus of the Immolation spell from the Demon Hunter. So I made an icon out of it by placing the head of a woman in there (because shut-up). SpellCaster Cloak : I think that this icon from Warcraft 3, the Robe of the Magi, can wonderfully represent the Armor spells of the Mage in WoW. So, I made a few variations... Class Chain Lightning : Just so you know, everytime I say "Chain lightning", I hear the voice of the narrator from the tutorial of Warcraft 3 yelling in my head "The murlocs would make excellent targets for your new chain lightning spell. To have Thrall use his new ability, click on the chain lightning button, and then left-click on one of the murlocs.". Change of direction : Hunter : I made those modifications by request of somebody who came on the blog with the nickname Lanathell. For all I know, he or she never saw that I made this icon pack, but anyway. I made more that asked for because my first hunter is more gun than bow or crossbow. Keys : I think World of Warcraft doesn't have a lot of keys icons, but I like those added with Wrath of the Lich King, so I made a little pack of these with recoloring and some effects. Chests : Why use bags when you can use big chests? Caskets : On the other side, Why use big chests when you can use little caskets? Apothicary Helms : For the expansion Cataclysm, Blizzard has added a cloth set version stylish which exists in 4 variations. The black version is reserved to NPCs (most notably bosses from the Shadowfang Dungeon). The other versions are obtainable by players, but they all uses the icons of the red version. I wanted to represent the different colors for the most notable piece of the set : the helm. I'd love so much to have the black version to make a Forsaken Apothicary set... Doom : Doom was a spell of the Pitlord in Warcraft 3 that killed the target over time, and after its death, a big demon sprang from its entrails. It's a little like [Bane of Doom] of the warlock, in Warcraft 3. Class Doom : Doom was a spell of the Pitlord in Warcraft 3 that killed the target over time, and after its death, a big demon sprang from its entrails. It's a little like [Bane of Doom] of the warlock, in Warcraft 3. I wanted to add the class colors because what I already had was not enough. Recolored Life Taps : This icon is used for the Warlock's spell [Life Tap], but also everytime there a spirit buff. I wanted to see this icon is other colors! Evil skulls : 5 bad lil' skulls! Don't touch them, they would try to bite you. Who said "Murray"? Sunken skulls : Howl of Terror: The neutral hero Pit Lord from Warcraft 3 had a skill which used this icon, and I find it neat, so there, in the basket! Day-night cycle : I wanted to use these icons to represent the day-night cycle on my RPG forum Legends of Arajiel. In the end, the project was aborted and I never used them. You can see them in order : Dawn, Afternoon, Sunset, Twilight and Night. Sacrificial dagger : Since I've got my hands on Ra'sha's Sacrificial Dagger, I use it with a macro to change it's icon into something that speaks a lot more to me. Warlock : [Agony] (three icons), [Soulshatter] (two icons), [Life tap], [Corruption], [Fear], [Howl of Terror], [Summon Imp], [Eye of Kilrogg], [Curse of Enfeeblement], [Dreadsteed], [Demonic Circle: Teleport], [Doom] (two icons), [Ritual of Summoning], [Burning rush] (standard and fel versions), [Shadow bolts voley], [Soulburn] and [Create Soulwell]. Throwing dices : Everybody knows the /rand 1 100 function, used to display a number between 1 and 100. Me, I totally see a macro for a /rand 1 100 for each of my characters. Soul devorer : With my warlocks, I use this icon (the violet version) for the [Soul burn] spell. Diablo 3 : The day Judgehype put Diablo 3 icons on his website, I started making lil' mouse sneaky sounds ("sqwik sqwik sqwik"), I took it all and I gave it a World of Warcraft icon format. You gotta admit, some of them are really super cool! Diablo 3 - class arrow rain : Diablo 3 - class bombs : Diablo 3 - class cleave : Diablo 3 - class thunder strike : I've never really liked the old WoW thunder strike icon. It's too much Warcraft 3. It was fitting when it was a dwarf striking the ground with his hammer. But for an orc who strikes the ground with his foot, I find the Diablo 3 icon much better. The orange color didn't worked for me though, so I changed that! Diablo 3 - class execution : Diablo 3 - cursed monsters : I took a Diablo 3 icon, and with some modifications, it now represents a zombie bearing a warlock curse which is killing him slowly. You can see the blood dripping from his gapping maw. Nomz! Drain : Épées croisées : I don't have the slightest idea of the meaning of this icon, but I thought it was nice, so I made it lots of colored variations! Fan of Knives : I find that the rogue skill "fan of knives" doesn't have a great icon. The Night-elf Warden from Warcraft 3 had a nice icon that I've taken, and there, done! Execution : Soul fire : (original picture by PoaAlpina) Directional arrows : At Klabauterman's request, I've tinkered these 4 icons of directional arrows from the Warcraft 3 movement icon. If there's request, I will make variations in other colors. Osseous Fortitude : I took the Warcraft 3 buff icon "Skeletal longevity" (which increased the duration of summoned skeletons by the Scourge's necromancers) and I made these. Frenesy : For these icons, I was going for something harder than a simple color work. I've taken the [Mind control] icon and I distorded it to give it a more irascible sight by frowning it's eyebrows. Maiev's blade : The Night-elf Warden from Warcraft 3 had a pretty nice icon for the ability Shadow Strike that I wanted to modify, and here is the result! Seed of corruption : Just like the [Corruption] spell, the warlock's [Seed of corruption] icon always was a problem for me. We cast a red and smoky projectile to the target, but the icon represent a green smoke. I corrected that with one of my icons. Icons of Heroes of the Storm : I've spent a whole afternoon collecting icons that I liked in the skill list of Heroes of the Storm, converting them into WoW icons and making recolored variations. These icons are all either in 128x128pxl format or 256x256pxl. Heroes of the Storm - Sylvanas Windrunner : As the master of a guild which plays on the Forsaken's theme, I had to honor the icon pack of the Banshee Queen from Heroes of the Storm! Note : This pack is at a 128x128pixels format, but the game should resize it properly to a 64x64pixels format. Incantations : Engineer : As an engineer, at the start of Wrath of the Lich King, my warrior Baboullinet had an engineering upgrade to his belt, boots and wrists, cloak and gloves. He's theme-color is green, so I made these icons, to have a part of my UI dedicated to engineer-upgrade shortcuts. Engineer - belt (version 2) : I don't like the first version of my engineer-belt icon, so I remade it... with lots of colors! I kept the purple background. I find that it's a quick way to tel these apart from the other engineer icons that I have. Engineer - class belt (version 2) : I don't like the first version of my engineer-belt icon, so I remade it... with lots of colors! I kept the purple background. I find that it's a quick way to tel these apart from the other engineer icons that I have. Class interactions : I used to use an icon just like these when I was raiding in Icecrown Citadel and I had to quickly target Marrowgar's bone spikes. It's an example of course, and I think these would be more useful to addon makers. Item summoning : As a mage and warlock, you can summon items like food, healstone, manastone or soulstone. These icons are here to represent the summoning spells for these items, that we can easily mistake with the icons allowing us to use the summoned items. LFG "Looking For Group" tool : Once, the LFR tool wasn't integrated to the UI, and we had to write /lfr to open it. So I had my little macro ready for that. Legends of Arajiel : During the LDA (Légendes d'Arajiel, Legends of Arajiel) project, I had a forum for which I made category icons, threads and post-its. These icons are the best of what I made. I'm thinking to make variations in other colors. Letters : In my icon list, you can find books, scrolls, tablets... letters were missing! Now, there's some. Books (version 1) : For a very long time, I wanted to show lots of books icons... here are a few. I'm only warming up! Books (version 2) : In game, there are dozens... hundreds of books. No doubt the type of item that we see the most! I think that each book icon should have a dozen color variations! So, here is my silent protest to this negligence! Also, special mention to the loooove book. Books with symbols : To better the collection, I've added several books from the version 2 which have symboles on their covers : Dalaran, Forsaken, Gilneas, Lordaeron, Darnassus, Paladin, Scarlet Crusade, Shadow Counsil, Silver Hand, Stromgarde... there's a Pour parfaire la collection, j'ai ajouté un certain nombre de livres adaptés de la Version 2 qui ont des motifs sur leurs couvertures : Dalaran, Réprouvés, Gilnéas, Lordaeron, Darnassus, Paladin, Croisade écarlate, Conseil des ombres, Main d'argent, Stromgarde... that should do it! Books (version 3) : I feel that I'm gonna keep the idea of the looooove book for a while, now... Books (version 4) : Here, we'll speak of morbid love book. Books (version 5) : Did you see how thick the cover is?! That's a book that can't have so many pages... Books (version 6) : The original book had a purple cover and blue edges. That super ugly. Suddenly, by changing the colors and by adding a little glow effect, that's a lot better. Mage - Slowfall : I don't like the priest's levitation spell icon, and I asked myself what it'd look like if this spell had a variation of the mage's slowfall icon. Then I thought that the mage's slowfall icon deserved more swag, because it's just a feather with nothing else. In the end, I made several versions that I think I'll use with pleasure. These icons are available in 128x128pxl and in the lighter BLP format. Mage - Silence : A classical ability of the mage is the silence spell, and I fell that it's icon in WoW isn't a good representation. I'm far more satisfied by the first icon of this pack, which I'm clearly going to use with my mages! Mage - Silence (Forsaken Edition) : I may not be necrophiliac, but I loooove player female forsaken characters. So when I got the idea of tinkering with the 'Silence' icon (already used in the previous pack) to obtain an icon specific to female forsakens (note the n°8b, made for the NPC Vivianne), I let myself go ! Enjoy ! Mage - Spell steal : The spell-breakers from Warcraft 3 : the Frozen Throne had a spell which allowed to take an ennemy bonus and to apply it to ally troops. In World of Warcraft, mages have an equivalent spell, but the icon isn't really representative to my taste. Mortal curse : Curse of elements : Curse : This icon was an item in Warcraft 3. I've made some colors variations, and here it is! Class merchandises : I quickly took the merchandises icon from my Legends of Arajiel pack and I made variations for classes. I like this icon. Recolored merchandises : I quickly took the merchandises icon from my Legends of Arajiel pack and I made variations with base colors. Then I freed my chaotic pulsions and I made some improbable color mixes. It's the first step toward the end of the world! Anyway, I think that these icons would perfectly fit a bank addon or an auction house addon. We'll see! Forsaken mask : During summer 2009, I wanted an icon to represent the forsaken racial skill [Will of the Forsaken]. On the plus side, it's a pretty cool icon, I think. I started out with the white maskicon. Made it look AWESOME. Class Forsaken mask : The icons representing Sylvanas' mask that I made in 2009 are my favorite in this list. Period. So I remade a pack with the real class colors, and I upgraded the rendering so that it would be easier to look it at. Monk - Special attacks : I felt like taking some Warcraft 3 icons representing classical skills from the Pandaren Brewmaster, like the taunt ability of the dodge. These, I know I'm gonna use them immediatly! Monk - Recolored spells : Most of the spell icons of a monk are colored in pink and jade. I've seen glyphs allowing to recolor the effects after the White Tiger Xuen, and like monks wears leather, they make me think of Rogues. So, I took most of these icons and I made color variations jade/pink/yellow/Xuen white. Mounts : My female blood-elf paladin has often a dragon-hawk as vanity-pet... and the Sunreaver dragon-hawk as mount. Same icon. A little time on Photoshop (where the magic happens) and there, no more problem! By the way, I've added a new icon for the headless horseman's horse, human horses and the crimson deathcharger ! Mounts - Proto-drakes : By default, there only one icon for the red proto-drake and the Ulduar ones. Now, there's an icon for the blue, the green, the purple and the lost in time. Notes : After the books, I told myself that I could make scrolls et papers. Done! Plague cloud (Warcraft 3) : Shadow : I love the icon of the Shadow from Warcraft 3. So, I made color variations, and I think it can be used as a Warlock of Death Knight spell. Devouring shadows : Options : For script launching macros as well as addon development, this pack will be very usefull, without any doubt, to represent options and settings buttons. Crystal orb : Energy orb : As I recall, I've found the original picture on a website called Hiveworkshop of something like that, while searching through a huge list of icons. No idea who was the author. Mystical orb : Ornated orb : Venomous orb : Mortal pact : Scrolls : Here is a whole serie of scrolls icons! Magnificent, aren't they? Rolled-up scrolls : More scrolls! Scroll of Speed : The scrolls icons in World of Warcraft are not really different from each others, and I have to admit that I don't understand why this icon which clearly represent a scroll of speed, haven't been kept in World of Warcraft for something else, like a scroll of agility. Vials of parfume : For a while now, I would like to create an item with Total RP 2 which would apply an aura "parfumed" with a color depending of the wanted parfume. These icons would do the trick, I think. Blood plague : Little satchel : An item from Warcraft 3, which allowed to show the invisible units near the hero, had this icon. I took it and made variations of it to obtain these bags icons. Hearth Stone - necklaces : Wearing an Heartstone everyday while making it look like some bling, that prooves you got swag! Hearth Stone - engineers : I have a few engineers, and I love saying that they have a techno-hearth-stone. Here they are : Hearth Stone - Dark : As an undead or a death-knight, I think these hearth-stone are really cool! Hearth Stone - standard : To a normal character who doesn't like the other hearth-stones, I made these standard hearth-stones, but with the class colors. Hearth Stone - cuted : These hearth-stone were made for classy characters who wants square-shaped hearth-stone. Hearthstone - tauren totems : These icons were made for tauren characters. Liquid stones : An orb icon from Warcraft 3 : the Frozen Throne changed into 4 liquid orb invocation icons! Inscripted plates (version 1) : Besides books and scrolls, sometimes, we find some inscripted plates. Here's a first batch. DeathGrip : Portals and teleportations : Here are some engineer teleportaions icons (Toshley Station, Zone 52, Northrend, Gadgetzan, Everlook) as well as an icon for the death-knight's Acherus portal and two versions of the teleportation device that brings players to BRD. Flame potion : I took a Warcraft 3 icon and I modified it to make a pack of pretty flamming potions! Super cool, hey? Legends of Arajiel potions : During the RPG Legends of Arajiel project, I made potion icons (and all the technical descriptions that go with it). I'll leave these icons for the visitors, but I keep the technical descriptions. Morbid reanimation : Morbid reanimation : With my warlocks, I use this icon in it's purple variation to replae the warlock spell [Soul harvest]. Tauren reincarnation : Magma rune : Orc rune : Wild rune : Deluxe bags : The best of the best bags now does have more than 3 colors! Linen bags : Oh, I see, we're too poor so we like the linen bag better? Alrighty then, here ya go. Wet bags : At Halfhill, NPC sells bags containing some animals meats (hmmmm... tigre meat!), and I'm surprised that the bag's icons are clean and not totally bloody. From my point of view, we could have bags like that! Wild rune : I love to use the addon GHI as a complement to TotalRP2 to transcript every readable item that I find to read them later. At one point, I asked GHI's author and proposed him my new icons. He put them all in his database. Priest seal : Class minus sign (-) : Class plus sign (+) : Dark hand : Sprotch : Mind blown! Stone tablets : You can find interesting stuff in old ruins, like stone runic tablets! Monk teleportation : The monk spell icon allowing to be teleported to Kun-Lai summit is without doubt one of the oldest icons in World of Warcraft, which does not represent the spell. I hope that one of these icons taken from Warcraft 3 would do the trick. TotalRP : I bring my 'experience' with World of Warcraft icons to the TotalRP team with this small pack for their symbol. Totem of the Troll Shaman : THIS is a troll shaman's totem! Whirlwind : Warcraft 3 troops : For an update of the addon TotalRP2, I'm adding icons of units and heroes from Warcraft 3 to the list. There are some that are really nice, and they're classics! UI - Question mark : UI - Class question mark : UI - Quest : UI - Class quest : Meat : The meat we find in McDonalds and other Burger Kings... Sweet! Virus : Recolored death coils : Here is a new Death coil icon that I made with no real hope, but isn't too ugly. Class death coils : That's a classy icon. Word-play. Ha ha. Love it. Humor. Recolored death coils : The green version looks like the original Death coil icon, but it wasn't forseen. I made the color randomly. The other are pretty cool too, I think. Worgen - Claws : Worgen - Running wild : Magic eyes : In the warlock icon pack, you can already find the Kilrogg's Eye icon. I'll put it here as well with his lil' friends, the Darkmoon Eye and the Arcane Eye, with also their smaller versions. I personnally use the Kilrogg ones in my action bars to differenciate the warlock spell and the pet [Eye of the Legion], which I always have by my side. The unclassifiable - orphan icons : In there, you can find an icon for a Forsaken spellcaster, a female Forsaken, the Warcraft 3 map, a Mind-control effect (style Psychonauts), two Legends of Arajiel spells, a birthday cake (the cake is a lie!), magma/fel-magma and melted saronite, mage invisibility spell, Judgehype icon, Sexymap icon...
